Making Room for your potential

Many people are curious to know 'what is hypnotherapy and how does it work'?
Hypnotherapy is an altered state of awareness where positive suggestions are made in order to achieve change.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is very different from the stage Hypnosis most people are familiar with. Unlike stage Hypnosis, in a clinical setting, you will not be asked to do or say anything against your will.
Hypnosis relies on you (the client) feeling 100% relaxed and having complete trust in the person you are working with.
Our brain is made up of our conscious mind and our unconscious mind. All our memories and experiences, good and bad, are stored in our unconscious mind which is where the work of hypnotherapy is performed. Hypnosis works by altering the conscious mind, through relaxation techniques, to achieve a deep trance. This then enables the therapy to work with the unconscious mind by direct and indirect suggestions.
At no point should you feel out of control, you will be able to hear everything that is said and will also have the ability to end a session at any point should you wish.
Most people thoroughly enjoy the experience and wake up feeling more relaxed and positive that they have felt in a long time.
As you visit other areas of this site you will be able to read how beneficial Hypnotherapy is for many common lifestyle issues and if there is something that you can’t find, the chances are we can still help.
If you have any questions or concerns about the process, I am happy to discuss these prior to any visit, just call or email me.
